The PCHS Education Foundation is kicking off its 'Big Blue Ticket' Raffle Sale. The $20 raffle ticket earns you twelve spots in a monthly drawing for a $400 grocery shopping spree at Perry County Market Place in Pinckneyville. The first drawing is set for August 19th with eleven more scheduled drawings on the third Friday of each subsequent month through July, 2012. Each month, all tickets will be re-entered in the drawing -- even previous winners -- so it's possible to win several times with a single ticket purchase! All-in-all, nearly $5,000 in groceries are up for grabs! Purchase your tickets at Perry County Market Place, Stotlar Drug Store or First National Insurance. Several youth groups, including the Perry County 4H Club and the Boy Scouts will also be assisting with ticket sales.

July 8, 9, 10 will see the first annual Diamonds for Dollars Softball Tournament to benefit the PCHS Education Foundation. This event will feature up to 32 of the top Softball teams from the region and beyond in pool play and Sunday finals, as well as a fish-fry on Saturday evening and proximity to the Jake Bender Municipal Swimming Pool to cool down those hot summer days! Bring your appetite and bring your suit for a great weekend of Softball and family fun while raising money for a great cause; our kids' future!

Brick sales are staged to begin with a bang on the fourth of July. Special pavers will be on sale for those who would like to be a part of the new PCHS history while contributing to the scholarship fund of the PCHS Education Foundation. Pavers may be purchased with a personalized inscription for $100, $200, and $500 each. Pavers will be set in position near the main entry-way to the new high school and are available in either 4" x 8", 8" x 8", or 12" x 12". See Craig Williams, Andrea Keene, Peggy Sims, Michelle Breslin or John Shotton for more information! Or simply call 618-727-1233.

One of the primary goals of the PCHS Education Foundation is to raise the academic, business and other achievements of PCHS graduates by reducing the financial challenges they face as they pursue educations at major universities. By attending major universities, the PCHS graduates will enjoy better career opportunities.

It is equally important to the PCHS Education Foundation to work with students who may choose a different path – community college or trade schools – in preparing for success in their pursuits.

Your pledge will help to sustain our efforts on behalf of our graduates.
